We are now hiring for our next VP Technology to help set the technical strategy and roadmap for the next 5 years and take the technology team to the next level.

FXC is a fast growing fintech company who specializes in providing financial data to enterprise client list of household brands, which include HSBC, Lloyds Bank, World Bank, Western Union, Visa and MasterCard among others.

The role of VP Technology/VP Software Engineering

Reporting to the founder and CEO, you will guide, inspire and develop your team to reach new heights in product development and delivery. You will be technically able and not afraid to roll up your sleeves when required:

Other responsibilities include:

• Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture

• Hiring, managing, motivating and inspiring a technical team both onshore and offshore

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the engineering team to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.

• Responsible for technology budget, cost control and resourcing of technical employees

• Engaging collaboratively with stakeholders and acting as a ‘trusted advisor’ on technology

• You will support, develop empower, inspire, and lead your teams to success

• Identify new technologies and trends that can help us gain a competitive edge and keep us ahead of the curve such as machine learning, AI and automation improvements

Skills required

• You will have worked within the Fintech or modern data space, and have experience of hiring and scaling an engineering team both offshore and onshore

• Experience at a product-led company is essential

• Experience building a team and implementing training/development programs for junior developers

• You will have gained experience as a credible and experienced software engineer and you won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty and lean on your technical skills to make decisions

• You have successfully worked with data end to end (collection, processing and outputs) and utilized the latest technologies to continually improve

• You will have both the technical acumen, leadership qualities and strategic thinking to drive the direction of the engineering team, ensuring that they are all working towards the same goals

• You are a seasoned, inclusive and passionate people leader; you understand that People come first and act with integrity and empathy

• You are collaborative in your approach and work well with cross functional teams
