London-Hybrid – One office day every other week
We are looking for a Data Analytics Manager to establish and lead our data science and analytics function within the Product department.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be instrumental in building and leading our data science and analytics function, aligning it with the strategic objectives of the Product department
Your role will encompass managing and developing our team of Data Analysts, including mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning and innovation
You will use your expertise in data science and machine learning to contribute to key data projects, with a focus on outlier detection, pattern recognition and other advanced analytics tasks
Work in tandem with relevant Product managers to understand their analytics and data science requirements
Ensure the implementation of best practices around data governance and quality control within the data analyst team
Champion a data-driven culture across the organisation. Empowering all departments with actionable insights to drive their strategies and objectives
About the Product team:
The Product team currently consists of 11 members, including Data Analysts, Product Managers and a Designer
You will be reporting to the VP of Platform Products and will be responsible for managing at least three Data Analysts upon joining
You should apply if:
You have experience in a leadership role within data science or analytics functions
Experience in team management and development, with a strong emphasis on mentoring and professional growth
Expertise in data science and machine learning, with practical experience in outlier detection, pattern recognition and other advanced analytics techniques
Proficiency in key data science and machine learning tools and languages (e.g. Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Outstanding communication skills, capable of explaining intricate data concepts so non-technical stakeholders
Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects across teams
This will help, but isn’t essential:
Experience working in a fintech, payments, FX or data company
Experience working in a startup
