This week, the spotlight is on a member of our People team - Charlotte Meek.

Can you share a bit about your role and responsibilities at the company?

I am the Talent Acquisition Partner here at FXC Intelligence and I run everything recruitment related, from working with hiring managers to improve our processes to analysing our recruitment data to sourcing candidates for our roles. Additionally, I do a lot of work on the culture side of the business, such as running and analysing our annual DEI survey, helping organise our in-office events (think external speakers, cultural celebrations etc.) and more!

What inspired you to pursue a career in Recruitment?

Originally I wanted to be a Psychologist, having completed my Masters in Research in Clinical Psychology, but due to a variety of reasons, I realised that wasn’t the right path for me. As most people in recruitment do, I kind of fell into it, but it turned out to be something I was good at and really enjoyed!

Can you share any skills or knowledge you've gained since joining the company?

I have learnt so much since joining FXC Intelligence! With it being my first fully internal talent role (as opposed to agency or embedded talent), I’ve gained insight on running internal processes, the importance of gaining trust from hiring managers and knowing FXC Intelligence like the back of my hand. I’m lucky to work with a really intelligent and supportive team, both within the People Team and the wider business.

What aspects of your job do you find most challenging, and how do you overcome them?

When I’m hiring for multiple roles at once and working on other projects, my days can get packed, but luckily I’m an organised person and can work closely with different stakeholders across the business to understand the priorities. It’s key that I continuously communicate with these stakeholders so that they can understand my priorities and we can work together on getting things done as smoothly as possible.

What's your favourite part of your job?

I love that I get to speak to people from all different backgrounds, all over the world every single day! My passion is people and I really get to embrace that in my job.
