Managing Stress and Preventing Burnout: Key Insights from Our Session with Health Coach Michelle Flynn
At FXC Intelligence, we are privileged enough to work with Michelle Flynn, a health and performance coach, who encourages and supports us all in being our best selves.
Last Friday, Michelle joined us to run an online session, “How to prevent burnout by managing stress”, where we learnt about what stress is, how our bodies react to stress and techniques we can all use daily to ensure we recharge effectively.
Senior Talent Acquisition Partner Charlotte Meek said:
"One thing I struggle with regarding stress is when I have multiple things I need to do at once. I think it’s safe to say I can get overwhelmed.
I’m excited to try various techniques suggested by Michelle to help prevent and manage this in the future, such as taking a step back and trying breathing exercises, prioritising my work better, giving myself a “commute” when I am working from home to allow me to reflect on the day and switch off (my dog will certainly be grateful for the extra walks!).
I’m hoping that by introducing these techniques, they will soon turn into habits that will allow me to be productive and clear-minded in moments of stress."
Having a health and performance coach has been a game-changer in this journey. With Michelle's guidance, we have gained valuable tools to not only manage stress more effectively but also to build habits that support long-term mental and physical health. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to go it alone—we all deserve the support to thrive, not just survive.
