Staying connected across the globe at FXC
As the Talent Acquisition Partner at FXC Intelligence, I am lucky enough to speak to people all across the world on a daily basis. In 2024, we introduced some fantastic new talent to the team, spanning six countries: the UK, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Armenia and Bosnia & Herzegovina!
At FXC we are proud to have team members in 20+ countries and truly value every person making their mark and impact on our growing company. Just because we are all over the globe however, it doesn’t mean that we aren’t connected!
We celebrate every person's background and culture, whilst ensuring we all feel included, recognised and part of the team. I wanted to use this blog to highlight some of the ways we stay connected across the globe at FXC.
The role of leadership
At FXC, culture and collaboration are key priorities of our leadership team, coming right from the top, with our CEO, Daniel Webber, particularly passionate about this. We want to ensure that though we work in different teams, we take the time to come together on a bi-weekly basis so that we can all remain up to date on new and exciting developments, plans and engagements within the business.
By working in cross-functional and collaborative teams, any team member could be speaking to the colleague next to their desk one moment and one across the world the next, but each bit of communication is equally as important and valuable. Regardless of your location, you are valued equally within the team, and we recognise that everyone plays an integral part in our mission and success.
Networks and groups
We have a range of networks and groups to facilitate communication, collaboration and the building of our culture. These include our employee resource groups, such as the Women in FinTech group or the LGBTQIA+ group, our FXC Book Club or even our Culture Club, a group focused on discussing anything related to our culture!
These are fantastic opportunities for us to connect in work-related and non-work-related contexts and discuss matters that are important to us all, regardless of location.
Celebrating cultural differences
We celebrate our differences at FXC and are open to learning new things about each other's cultures!
Back in April 2024, we had an International Food Day (which you can read more about here) where we were encouraged to bring in food from around the world, giving us the chance to learn through food!
Feedback
We regularly check in on our team members, whether it be through one-to-one conversations with the People Team or surveys to touch base. We welcome feedback at FXC and are constantly open to new ideas and suggestions to help us stay connected! As we continue to grow, we want to ensure that we are flexible and iterative in our approaches to maintaining connections across the globe.
There are many other ways we stay connected in our day-to-day working lives and we have even been lucky enough to have team members from Ukraine and Poland fly over to join us for our Christmas party, but I am truly grateful to all the wonderful people of FXC for making it such an enjoyable place to work.
