Top tips for interviewing at FXC Intelligence
At FXC Intelligence, we believe that interviewing is more than just a test of skills, we want to learn more about you as a person, whether your values align with ours, what you want from your next role and what you can add to our culture.
We want you to be as prepared as you can be, which is why we have put together a list of top tips for interviewing at FXC Intelligence!
What does the interview process look like?
Depending on the role, we aim to interview around five aspects: competency, culture add, company values, leadership and passion about the company/role. We have structured interviews, meaning that the interview process and questions are determined before the role even goes live, ensuring an unbiased and fair process for all.
Regardless of the role, the first interview will always be with a member of the People team, where you will be asked about your experience in more detail, what you are looking for in your next role and have the opportunity to ask any questions.
Following that, you will likely speak to the hiring manager, going into the role requirements in more detail, and potentially other members of the relevant team. Should this be a technical role, you will likely be asked to complete a take-home task or an in-depth technical interview.
Again, regardless of the role, the final interview will always be a conversation with our CEO, Daniel, who will want to learn more about your motivations, how you see your career developing and why you are interested in joining FXC Intelligence.
We will always make sure that you have all the information you need to prepare for each interview so don’t worry about that!
Read the interview pack provided to you
When you are invited to the first interview at FXC Intelligence you will be sent an Interview Pack as an attachment. This interview pack was carefully curated with the aim of providing a high-level overview of what we do, how we are growing and what our culture is like. Please do give this a read as it will likely answer many questions you have before you even think of them!
Talk about your motivations- why fintech? Why a startup? Why FXC Intelligence?
When we are interviewing, we want to speak to people that are passionate and motivated about the industry, so think before about why you want to work for a fintech, a startup, FXC specifically.
We are a growing business and we want people that will grow with us, so be clear on your aspirations and give examples of how you can adapt to a changing environment.
Be authentic
At FXC Intelligence, we value authenticity and individuality, as we believe this is essential to building stronger teams. We believe that the best outcomes come from genuine and open conversations, and we want to get to know the real you along with your unique perspective.
Provide real life examples
When asked questions about your skills, provide real life examples and showcase your skill level. We want people that aren’t afraid to bring new ideas into the business. We want to hear about your real experiences and appreciate when candidates can be candid about both their strengths and developmental areas, acknowledging how they could have dealt with past experiences differently with the knowledge they have now.
Don’t be afraid to admit if you don’t know something
No one can be expected to know everything, so don’t be afraid to admit if you don’t know something. We value honesty and self-awareness, so the key thing for us is to see that you are motivated and keen to learn in areas you may lack knowledge.
Ask questions
At FXC Intelligence, we value curiosity. It is equally as important for us to be the right fit for you as it is for you to be the right fit for us, so please do ask the team questions to learn more about the company, the culture and the role so that you can get to know us too.
